Terms and conditions apply to our funeral plans. Prices correct as at October 2024 and may change in the future. Prices based on today’s cost of a funeral plus a £325 administration fee charged by Ecclesiastical and any instalment charges.

Flexible payment options
You can choose to pay for your funeral plan by lump sum or in instalments. There is an additional cost for paying over two years or more and eligibility criteria applies. Frequently Asked Questions
Please see below answers to some of the most frequently asked questions:
Pretty much anyone over the age of 18. For instalment plans, the final instalment must be paid by your 85th birthday.
Of course, You can specify songs, readings, details to be included in your eulogy, anything really. There’s no charge for adding these details but there may be more to pay if you require additional features, like extra cars or unique vehicles for example.
You can usually transfer your plan to a funeral director closer to your new home. This might come at an additional cost though, depending on local prices. You should check the terms and conditions for peace of mind.
Yes, it’s a fairly common occurrence and something many clients choose to do.
Once your plan is paid for, you can change it as often as you like. Tell us what you would like to change, and if there is any additional cost for new features or services to be added, we’ll let you know right away.
As long as your requirements don’t change, all the services and choices listed in your original plan will be covered, as long as it’s us that carries out your funeral.

You can cancel at anytime. And if you choose to do so during the 30 day cancellation period, you’ll receive a full refund.
You pay by lump sum or in instalments. It’s entirely up to you. Although there is an additional cost if you pay over more than 12 months, and some eligibility criteria does apply here. You can find out more in our Instalment Q&A and the Terms and Conditions and we’ll be happy to provide you with a personalised quote.
Unfortunately your plan won’t pay for a funeral abroad, or cover the cost of repatriating you. So it’s important to always check the details of your travel insurance.
Scotmid Co-operative members receive a discount of £100 against the cost of any of our funeral plans. Give your membership number to our team when you’re taking out your plan, and they will apply the discount there and then.

If you are unhappy with our products or service, please contact us as soon as possible. We will take all the details of any complaint and these will be passed to Ecclesiastical Planning Services Ltd for their attention.

Our pre-paid funeral plans are provided by a trusted national provider, Ecclesiastical Planning Services.
As part of a specialist, UK-based financial services group, Ecclesiastical Planning Services has offered pre-payment funeral plans since 2006. When you take out a funeral plan with us, Ecclesiastical Planning Services arranges for the funds to be held in an individual whole of life policy. The full value of your plan, excluding the administration fee and any instalment charges, is ring-fenced and cannot be used for anything but your funeral when the time comes.
