Why choose a direct cremation plan?
Many people choose a direct dremation because they’ve decided that, when the time comes, they would like a simple straightforward funeral with minimum fuss. The main difference with a direct cremation is that there is no service and no mourners can attend the cremation. That might not be to everyone’s liking, so it’s important that you discuss your wishes with friends and family before taking one out.
Other than that, you can expect to receive a typically dignified Scotmid Funerals send-off. With you and everyone else being treated with the same professionalism, respect and care that we deliver with any of our plans.
What are the benefits?
Taking out a plan can give you peace of mind for the future. Some of the other benefits that might appeal to you include:
- The ability to pre-plan the details of your funeral, including any special wishes
- The comfort that comes from knowing your funeral is already paid for
- Being able to choose your own local funeral director in advance
- And knowing that your family or friends will have access to our expert help and support
How much does it cost, and how can I apply?
You can buy a direct cremation plan online for just £1,620.
You can pop into or call one of our offices if you would like to discuss them in more detail, or you can download our funeral plans brochure for more information.
