Our Simple low cost funeral
Our lower-cost Simple funeral is a straightforward option that provides our essential funeral services while maintaining high-quality, compassionate care.
There are, however, some restrictions on certain things that can be a bit more complex to arrange, such as custom coffins & the funeral cortege.
Our fees are just £2099; however, this doesn’t include 3rd party fees such as for cremation or burial and the officiant to lead the service, as this varies across the country.
What is included?
If you choose an Simple funeral, we can assure you won’t be compromising on the quality of service you receive. We will always:
- Make all the necessary arrangements for you.
- Appoint a funeral arranger to guide and support your family and friends.
- Take the person who has died into our care at any time of day or night.
- Dress in a simple funeral gown.
- Provide a Simple coffin.
- Facilitate visiting during office hours.
- Provide a hearse on the day of the funeral
- Return ashes (if applicable) to your preferred funeral home.
What is not included?
The price does not include any third-party costs, such as cremation or burial fees, newspaper notices, or the services of the funeral officiant.
To keep things more affordable, there are restrictions on certain things that can take a bit longer to organise and deliver such as:
- Dressing in choice of clothes
- Choice of coffin.
- Funeral cortege/procession.
- Choice of day/time of the funeral (we will find a date & time of mutual agreement).
Typically, our customers spend between £900 and £1,100 on third-party fees for this funeral.
Can I add other services?
Your funeral arranger will be happy to discuss your wishes and help you decide on the best options.
You can still personalise some elements, such as the order of service and floral tributes.

A direct cremation (also known as an unattended funeral) is for those who would prefer a straightforward funeral. It’s different to a traditional funeral as there’s no funeral service and you will be unable to be present at the cremation.
If you require assistance towards the cost of the funeral there is a ‘Funeral Support Payment‘, this could help pay for funeral costs if you live in Scotland. It usually will not cover the full cost of the funeral but it could help pay for some costs.
Every funeral is unique, so costs will vary depending on your wishes.
We will always provide you with an estimate for your consideration, we can then adjust this if required.
