Honouring Loved Ones at Our Christmas Memorial Services
The holiday season is usually a time for joy and celebration. However, at Scotmid, we understand it can bring sadness, longing, and grief to those who have lost loved ones. So we invite you to join us for one of our Christmas Memorial Services, where we will come together to honour the memories of those we have lost.
What to Expect at the Memorial Service
Our Memorial Services create a safe and peaceful space. Here, attendees can reflect and connect with others who are grieving. A caring officiant will lead each service and guide us through reflective moments. This will include meaningful readings, comforting poems, and words of support.
Following the service, we will invite you to join us for tea, coffee, and sweet treats, alongside some festive Christmas music. It’s a time to support each other and acknowledge that, while grief is deeply personal, we do not have to navigate it alone.
Anyone who comes to our service will receive a special Christmas tag. On this tag, they can write the name of a loved one, a short message, or a memory, and hang it on our Christmas tree. It’s a potent reminder that even if our loved ones are no longer here, we still carry their memory in our hearts.

Broxburn at 2pm on Sunday 7th December 2025 at Thomas Brown Funerals, 18 West Main Street, Broxburn, EH52 5RH. Conducted by Rev. Hanneke Hall
Edinburgh 2pm on Saturday 13th December 2025 at Corstorphine Old Parish Church, 2a Corstorphine High Street, Edinburgh EH12 7ST. Conducted by Rev. Moira McDonald
Motherwell at 7pm on Tuesday 16th December 2025 at Motherwell South Parish Church, 11 Gavin Street, Motherwell, ML1 2RL. Conducted by Rev. Alan Gibson
