Sharing the sad news
When you’ve lost someone, informing everyone of their death, or feeling the need to, can be a daunting and time-consuming task.
Probably the last thing you need. So you might want to consider a newspaper or online notice or obituary.
Newspaper notice
These are great ways to let extended or lapsed friendship groups, old acquaintances, or ex-colleagues know of person’s passing.
Usually brief notices placed in local or national newspapers, or on our own online obituary service, they’ll include some basic information about the person. Like their place and date of birth, their hometown, a few family details, and of course details of the funeral.
Anything else you want to include is entirely up to you. Perhaps mention of old sports teams, places of work, or any organisations they belonged to?
Online obituary
Or we can talk to you in more detail about creating an online tribute with our partners Much Loved.
A Much Loved online tribute also lets you link to various social media sites and is an effective way to share details of the funeral, manage donations and enable others to post their own tributes.
