I have worked with Scotmid now for 9 years. I started as a Funeral Director after working in the same role with a National Funeral Directors. After a short while I was moved to the office at Broxburn.
Prior to this I was a Logistics Manager and a C.P.C. Holder for a Distribution Network. I have also been a Special Constable with Strathclyde Police for over 10 Years which I enjoyed immensely. I have taken my driving experience to another level, passing the I.A.M. driving test and an A.D.I. (Driving Instructor Exam )
It was always my desire to be in the funeral business, and in 1999 I saw a vacancy for a trainee Funeral Director to which I applied for and was thankfully successful.
I take great pride in my position, knowing that I can help families, when they are vulnerable and at a difficult and sometimes traumatic time.
I live in West Lothian with my wife (Ann) and my best friend in the world, My Weimeraner, Abbi.
My main hobbies outside work is Photography, having travelled to over 14 countries photographing police vehicles and of course our static caravan in Peebles.
